Salzburg Biennale
The Salzburg Biennale, the new festival of contemporary music in the city of Mozart. Over four weekends in March 2009 concert life in Salzburg focuses on four special themes: Beat Furrer and Spanish flamenco music; Steve Reich and Balinese gamelan music; Toshio Hosokowa and traditional music from his homeland;
Klaus Huber and Arabic sound worlds. The music
programme is complemented by an exhibition in the Gallery Ropac and by a film series shown in the Film Cultural Centre Das Kino.
